DEVELOPER GUIDEClear USMF, USRT and the other Contoso companies from a OneBox by restoring Empty Data over AxDB, leaving only DAT.
Contoso demo companies clutter every lookup on a dev VM. Deleting them row by row breaks the database. Restoring Empty Data over AxDB leaves you with a clean, DAT-only environment instead.
Dual-Write is often treated as a technical sync between F&O and Dataverse. For the business it changes who owns customer data, where orders start and what the sales team can see. Those decisions matter more than the mappings.
Turning the LCS VHD into a working development VM looks simple until sign-in fails. These are the settings and steps that cause most of the trouble, and how to get them right the first time.
Behind the work
I work across development, integrations, reporting, and environment management. I also share practical D365 guides to make technical knowledge easier to put into practice.
